Family photography that tells your story

Capturing family photos for me is not your old school portrait session. I want to be a part of documenting a season of your families life. Capturing your little ones personalities and joys as they are. Whether it's a session snuggled up on a blanket in the park or just being there to document the long days jumping on the trampoline in the back yard.
These exhausting, beautiful and trying days of child rearing are just so fleeting. While having a photo of everyone smiling is nice, it's not capturing real life memories for you or your family. I want to tell a story about what makes your family, your children and your bond so unique. Whether we decide to keep it laid back shooting at home or decide to go out for some fresh air and change of scenery, my goal is always to photograph the real life. I want to see laughter rather than cheesy smiles and cuddles rather than poses.
I think there are a lot of expectations for people when they decide to get family photos done. There is a feeling that in order for the photo to turn out it needs to be perfect, but that is simply not the case. Family sessions are about moments and capturing your family the way it is now.
So instead expect not to worry about your rowdy four year old or nap depraved toddler. Expect to get snuggly with your family and be able to tickle some laughter out of anyone who might need it. (especially you, dads) I want to capture the tenderness and the silliness that is raising children and being family.
