Sometimes you get out shooting with a couple unsure of how it will turn out but the rush of relaxation comes over you as soon as you realize how chill and funny the couple is. Kristin and Travis are so much fun to interact with, they have been together for such a good chunk of time you can just feel the best friendship they share. We discovered some crazy beautiful spots on our lakeside adventure and the cloudy day just added to the richness of color. So excited for these two as they continue on their sweet journey as a couple.
This little adventure session was so full of love and life. We escaped to an area off the beaten path to get that beautiful golden light. These two siblings were probably the most well behaved and kind children I've gotten to photograph which made their little moments of wrestling dad or picking wildflowers that much more beautiful and real.
Some families you meet are just warm and affectionate. You can tell just in the first minute or so how much love is shared between mom and dad and parent and child. The Johnson family could not stop gushing over their new little. Big sister, Ellie, was just so energized to be a big sister and wanted everyone to know how much love she had to give. It seriously was so much fun capturing their love and excitement this year.
I can't get over how beautiful last Saturday was. I took our first group of Mini sessions at Minor Park and was blown away by the beautiful greens and out of this world weather. I am so excited Fall is finally on its way!
This family was just over and beyond adorable and It was such a joy to take them on a little adventure to capture their first photos since little Evie's birth. I can't get over Evie's cute little hair bow and scrunchy face.
So if you follow my photo blogging at all you'll remember a session I recently did all about one strong momma (Ali) and her two beautiful daughters! Well one part of the story I've been sitting on for way too long is all about their exciting announcement.
I went down to Florida to spend time with Ali and the girls not just because of the documentary photo session but because she is one my best friends in this life. She drove to pick me up from the airport and we immediately went right back to chatting and making fun of anything. She literally had made a 2-3 second pause and I said, "your pregnant?" and thats how i found out about my new little niece! (we don't know the gender yet but i swear its going to be another little girl)
So along with getting those raw documentary images we also went outside and shot so beautiful family photos including some laid-back announcement shots with the pregnancy test and all!
